Major category

2 stages:

First stage – duration of the programme is 15-20 minutes

• a virtuosic etude of own choice

• one compulsory piece by J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, M. Clementi (one movement of a Sonata can be performed)

• compulsory piece from the Ibero American repertoire

• free choice programme (to be added in case of need and without exceeding the foreseen time)

Final stage – duration of the programme is 30-40 minutes

• free choice programme (the candidate is allowed to complete the classical Sonata; candidates are not allowed to repeat any piece performed in the first stage)

We kindly ask you to respect the following guidelines:

1.) A compulsory piece by a composer of the Ibero-American area, selected from the following list:

Isaac Albeniz, Cacilda Borges Barbosa, Sergio Calligaris, Manuel De Falla, Alberto Ginastera, Enrique Granados, Mozart Camargo Guarnieri, Carlos Guastavino, Mauricio Kagel, Federico Mompou, Ernesto Lecuona, Xavier Montsalvatge, Astor Piazzolla, Antonio Soler, Joaquin Turina, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Ferrán López Carrasquer. 

The list is obviously not exhaustive and the artistic direction reserves the right to accept any other pieces by composers of the same geographic area.

In this case, a copy of the score is to be attached to the application, along with a CV of the composer.

2.) When drafting your programme, please don't forget:

        a.) Name and surname of the composers (in full, with their birth and death dates)

     b.) Complete indications of the proposed pieces (title, opera number, key and single movements...)
